Oracle Web/Windows NT Administrator
    PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
      Your chance to participate in a full life cycle Web-based development and support effort. Our project entails the development of a comprehensive management information system for a Government client. We are working to replace multiple legacy systems in support of 2000+ users.

    TECHNOLOGIES INVOLVED:
    • Windows2000/NT LAN/Servers/Workstations
    • Windows2000/NT Web Servers
    • Oracle RDBMS V8
    • Oracle Web/Application Servers
    • Oracle and non-Oracle application development tools
    • Oracle Designer
    • Oracle Discoverer

    RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
    • Perform system management activities such as account maintenance, performance tuning, software/installations/upgrades, storage management, security management, and user support.
    • Manage, maintain, and improve security and access network switches, hubs, gateways, routers and related products.
    • Implement technologies and processes to increase reliability, simplicity, cost-effectiveness, recoverability, and overall effectiveness of the LAN and supporting systems.

    DESIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
    • MCSE, 5 years NT experience, at least 3 years in a direct administrator role.
    • 5 years in a mixed protocol environment; strong knowledge of Ethernet, routing, IP, DNS, WINS, network management, protocol analysis.
    • 3 years MS Exchange experience as an administrator.
    • Working knowledge of Oracle Application Server, Apache and/or Cold Fusion.
    • Work experience with Linux and Compaq Tru64.

Oracle Systems Programmer

    PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
      Design, develop and implement Integrated Management System for Naval Research Laboratory. Use PL/SQL to code key processes that manage lab wide finance system. Use Oracle tools such as Designer, Developer, TOAD and various SQL coding products. Analyze, develop, and maintain server and client side software and graphical user interface. Document key system processes using Microsoft Visio. Interact with client to ensure requirements are met. Work with development team on project modules to ensure schedule and goals are met.

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
      Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or the foreign equivalent, and completion of an Oracle Developer Certificate.

Staff Accountant
    This position exists to supplement the workforce of a government agency as a staff accountant. In addition to general accounting responsibilities, duties may include computerized accounting system analysis, design, development, and integration.

    RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
    • General accounting, analysis, and financial reporting duties.
    • General ledger analysis, journal entries, month end closing and reconciliations.
    • Producing financial statements, journal entries, G/L account analysis.
    • Ad-hoc financial reporting, reconciliation and special projects.
    • Assists other financial personnel, mainly accounting technicians and budget staff in solving financial problems, such as completing financial transactions, correcting erroneous or discrepant transactions, and identifying/correcting discrepancies.

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
    • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and 1-5 years progressive experience. Experience in a government accounting environment a plus.
    • Experience reconciling accounts within ledgers and sub-ledgers
    • Some cost accounting experience desired
    • Knowledge of accounting software and systems
    • Excellent organization skills
    • Must be detail oriented and able to work on multiple tasks concurrently
    • Excellent communication skills
    • CPA a definite plus!

    COMPUTER SKILLS:
    • Experience using Excel, Word and PowerPoint are all important. Experience in Oracle RDBMS, Oracle Discoverer, Oracle Reports, data warehousing a plus. Individual will be expected to become proficient in these applications; training will be available
    • Exposure to and/or a desire to learn any facet of database and business application development a big plus.
